Chief Executive of Jersey Finance to Speak at IoD Lunch

The current backdrop of political uncertainty and market fluctuations will set the scene for the next IoD Jersey Leader’s Lunch. Joe Moynihan, Chief Executive Officer of Jersey Finance, will take to the stage to discuss how Jersey can remain a leading financial centre of excellence in this climate of national disruption.

The lunch will take place at the Royal Yacht on Tuesday 8th October. The event will begin with networking drinks at 12noon, followed by a two-course lunch and then the presentation by Mr Moynihan before closing at 2pm.

Mr Moynihan’s career in finance has spanned more than 40 years. He commenced his professional life in the banking sector, rising to the position of CEO of Jersey and the Isle of Man for a major bank. In recent years, he expanded his focus as Director of Financial Services within the Government of Jersey, where he worked closely with industry and the regulator to ensure the Island’s position as a leading international finance centre. Before joining Jersey Finance in February 2019, Joe was working to establish high-reputation regulatory frameworks and business models for IFCs in the Middle East and Africa.

Joe Moynihan's IoD Leader's Lunch will include discussion of Jersey's position as a leading international financial centre of excellence, in 2020 and beyond. In addition, he will deliver a key update on the present activities of Jersey Finance from a Technical, Strategic, Marketing and Business Development perspective.

Lisa Springate, Chair, IoD Jersey, says: ‘We are very fortunate to have secured Joe for this lunch in a time of such global political change. His perspective on the current climate and how Jersey can still be a financial centre of excellence during this time, will be highly valuable to our audience of business leaders. With a career in financial services spanning four decades, Joe has a strong commitment to the future success of the industry in Jersey and he will share his vision with our audience.’
