Colin Macleod

Colin Macleod, CEO, CI Co-Operative

Colin commenced career on the shop floor 26 years ago and, has been CEO of The Channel Islands Co-operative Society since 2010. He is also a Director of FRTS and is currently Vice President of Euro Coop. Named IoD Director of the Year 2015 in the UK Finals, he has consistently demonstrated an ability to push performance improvement in competitive markets.

Colin also has a history of delivering innovation and diversification, capitalising on trust he and his board have cemented in their Society’s brand. A deep believer in the potential in people and a devoted father, Colin has also recently published his first Children’s book, which he wrote with the help of his two boys. ‘Meet HammerHead & Captain StinkyPants.’

LESLEY HARRISON

Lesley Harrison, Chairman, Prison! Me! No Way!!! Jersey

Prison! Me! No Way!!! Jersey is a charity and NPO, who adopt a multi-agency approach to working with young people – designing and delivering educational programmes on ‘choices and consequences of crime’. The work undertaken by Prison! Me! No Way!!! compliments and supplements a variety of other preventative work with young people and is playing its part in effecting behavioural change amongst up and coming generations as they enter their formative years.

As Chairman my role is to provide inclusive, strategic leadership, good governance and effective communications for the Executive Board and Team, ensuring we are transparent, accountable, measurable and sustainable, and that we continue to design and deliver relevant, timely and age appropriate information for young people to help keep them safe. Prison! Me! No Way!!! Jersey is positioned as a well respected, high profile organisation, who have created a successful Public/Private Partnership, which is contributing to the current low levels of crime in Jersey.

ALEX MOREL

Alex Morel, Managing Director, ALX Training

Alex established ALX Training 10 years ago and in that time has grown the company from a single-person operation into the Channel Islands’ leading provider of IT training. Today, ALX is a team of ten people who deliver training throughout the islands and around the world.

Alex began her working career as an English teacher and used the experience of working within a private language school to help her plan and develop her vision for ALX Training. As a leader, Alex places the highest importance on the quality of training and in keeping with the company’s purpose, she ensures that each member of the team continues to develop and expand their skills and knowledge throughout their working lives. This approach not only ensures that ALX delivers the highest quality training for its clients but it also helps increase the sense of job satisfaction felt by individuals within the team.

MARK PESCO

Mark Pesco, CEO, First Names Group

Mark is Chief Executive Officer of First Names Group, a leading independent provider of trust, corporate, real estate and fund administration services operating in strategic locations worldwide. Based in the Group’s head office in Jersey, Mark heads up the Management Committee and oversees the day-to-day management and leadership of the business. With a career full of highlights, Mark demonstrates just how far you can travel with the right combination of passion, drive, ambition, business acumen and, above all, personality. His journey began with PwC in Jersey, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant before moving on to gain international experience in Singapore, Melbourne and London. He returned to Jersey in 2004 to join the Langtry Trust Group and was made Partner within 12 months.

In 2005, Mark co-led the sale of Langtry to IFG International and in 2008 he was appointed Managing Director for Jersey. Since IFG International became First Names Group following a management buyout in 2012, Mark has continued to enjoy quick progression. Before being appointed as CEO in August 2016 he held the title of Group Managing Director, Private Client. The quality of Mark’s leadership has been well recognised and he is among the alumni of IoD Jersey Director of the Year award winners himself. In 2014 he won the title of ‘Director of the Year for a Large Organisation’ and was a finalist for the equivalent IoD UK award. He has featured in the Citywealth Leaders List four years running and has been named in eprivateclient’s ’50 Most Influential’ for the past two years.
